Welcome Basketball Fans!
We are very excited to welcome you to The Hardwood Invite (2023) presented by HoopSource Grassroots! This Annual event is embarking on the Rose City for 2023 and beyond, to bring you the most elite high school basketball and entertainment in the country. We are thrilled to be hosting this event at the beautiful Parkrose High School this season. The Championship last year in Seattle, WA, was as good as advertised as Garfield was crowned the champion against a scrappy Roosevelt Roughriders team in front of a committed group of fans who made it out through the ice storm of 2022.
In just its third year, The Hardwood Invite is already being nationally recognized as one of the top high school basketball tournaments around the country (MaxPreps). Highlighted teams in the field include the hometown favorite and last year’s Runner-up, Roosevelt Roughriders. Coming off a strong season in 2022, the Roughrider bring back a star-studded cast including Utah State Commit, Terrence Hill as well as a strong supporting cast of D1 recruits Utrillo Morris & Chance White. In addition, Eastside Catholic from Washington will also be fighting for the top spot showcasing the dazzling star, Jacob Cofie, who has already committed to the University of Virginia. We also welcome Rancho Solano Prep from Arizona, and Southridge, FL from Miami. Make sure to not count out the host team, Parkrose Broncos who are looking to stamp a strong season under 7-year head coach Donell Morgan. Other notable players include D1 Recruits Martin Kaupanger & Jeremiah Harshman from Annie Wright & Beckett Currie from Camas, both of whom will be looking to add some highlight plays to their reels this weekend. These outstanding players are regarded as three of the best Juniors on the West Coast. Also keep your eye out for Carter Basquez from Smoky Hills who is ranked as a top 5 Sophomore in his class his fellow teammates also include strong players in Kaylin Graham and Kevin Sylla. Cesar Hernandez will return from Davis, Demaree Collins from Skyview, Rey Daniels from Southridge, FL, as well as Oregon guards Jackson Weiland.
While enjoying the high level of play on the basketball court, we remind fans to please take time to recognize our supporting sponsors throughout the tournament. We are thankful for their outstanding support. The Hardwood Invite will continue to empower young athletes, their programs, families, and fans for generations to come.
Our goal is to provide a truly one-of-a-kind basketball experience for you and your families. This event will annually host top level talent from around the country, with eyes from the most exclusive scouting and nationally recognized media outlets. It is time for the spotlight to shine on the city of Roses – Portland, OR
